Are You STUCK On A Sales Hump?

Productivity - Sales methodology
Written by Kim Duke

Something that happens to all entrepreneurs and sales people at one time or another is something I call...

The Sales Hump.

And being stuck on the Sales Hump is not FUN.

Why?

Well - you feel trapped, you're bloody exhausted (there's a Canadian term for you!), and you just feel like your options are non-existent or limited.

Listen To Your Bossy Sales Diva

You're only stuck on the Sales Hump for one reason.

You've been too busy working "in" the business of sales and not "on" the business of sales.  And sorry sister - but that has now caused you to be "hung up on a hump!"

So What Can You Do?

Well - your first step is to slide off the camel that got you there in the first place!

I want you to do the following 4 things this week:

1.    Review All Your Client Activity. What has grown? Decreased? What product areas are thriving and which ones need to be dumped?

2.    Review All Your Clients. Certain clients that you first started off with are probably not the best fit for you anymore. But yet, they can consume an enormous amount of time. It is time for them to use another company.  And yes - you CAN recommend someone else for them!

3.    Review How Much Time You're Spending NOT THINKING. I mean it. Those who don't actively plan, imagine, and leave time for BIG THINKING typically make small money.  I can always tell those who will make it big when I ask them how much time they spend thinking, reading and investing in themselves.

4.    Get On The Phone And Ask For Referrals. Call all those clients who love you and ask them for their help.  Tell them you are expanding your business this year in new areas and you'd love their feedback. Maybe they can take you to a networking luncheon, refer you to an associate - you get the picture.  But unless you ask - they won't know that is what you need!

So if you want to end the complaining and the dry mouth that comes with it - get off your camel and point yourself in a new direction. Enough already.

FOCUS on what you want to achieve and then put the 4 action steps into place in the next week.

You'll go from being STUCK to LUCK and it won't even break a fingernail.
