Ron Foss

Ron Foss is a native of Montreal Canada, Ron is proud of his Quebec heritage and in his continuing commitment to building and embracing diversity in the workplace.

Ron joined Royal Trust in 1974, where he held many regional and national office management positions. After the Royal Bank of Canada acquired the organization in 1993, he spent the next five years involved in merger integration, strategic planning and sales management. Ron then moved on to lead the Royal Bank of Canada's Royal Learning Network, a specialized training and development centre providing continuous learning and organizational renewal worldwide. It was during this time that he developed a keen interest in the management of human capital and has since dedicated his career to helping others improve their people management skills.

In 1999 Ron completed the International Masters in Practicing Management program (IMPM) at McGill University. He travelled to the United Kingdom, India and Japan to study managerial concepts and competencies within a global perspective. Ron's written work on the Humanistic and Encouraging Competencies of Managers was completed under the direction of the program's lead architect Professor Henry Mintzberg. It became the basis for Ron's book "From Mindsets to Heartbeats."
